SPOTLIGHT ON AUTHORS

EUGENIA MACER-STORY                           WRITER EXTRAORDINAIRE

Photo: Eugenia Macer-Story

Eugenia Macer-Story is a highly respected author in New York. She is prolific and creative. Most recently, I was asked by media guru, Carol Lexter to review Macer-Story's books. I did, and I was delighted. I enjoyed reading her "Struck by Green Lightning"; it is multidimensional and captivating. The theme is rich in visions and imagination. It rotates around flying saucers, folklore, and innocent folks from a small town who are taken by these phenomena. Macer-Story is a great story teller with captivating imagination.

Struck by Green Lightning, AKA: Project MidasEverything is delightful about this book except - and unfortunately - it is poorly printed. But, this should not prevent the readers from enjoying the beauty and unusual imageries of the book. Read it...I highly recommend it.

I also reviewed another book by Macer-Story "Doing Business in the Adirondacks: True Tales of the Bizarre and Supernatural". No question this woman is always fascinating and prolific, Eugenia Macer-Story is indeed a terrific story teller. And it shows in this book. Unexpected scenes, unusual colorful style are only two aspects of her creative genius. The author excels in blending folklore, politics, paranormal and the risqué. Rating" 5 Stars- Reviewer: Rudolph Sebastian.

THE MAGICAL CHARM OF AVENUE DES CHAMPS ELYSÉES

The Avenue des Champs-Elysées is probably the most famous avenue in the world.

This impressive promenade stretches from the Place the la Concorde to the Place Charles de Gaulle, the site of the Arc de Triomphe. At its western end it is bordered by cinemas, theatres, cafés and luxury shops. Near the Place de la Concorde, the street is bordered by the Jardins des Champs-Elysées, beautifully arranged gardens with fountains and some grand buildings including the Grand and Petit Palais at the southern side and the Elysée at its northern side. The Champs-Elysées is used for all the major celebrations. This is where Parisians celebrate New Year's Eve and where the military parades are held on the 14th of July. Historic national events, like the Liberation at the end of the second World War or the victory in the World Cup football were also celebrated on this wide avenue.

Champs Elysées

GRAND PALAIS AND PETIT PALAIS

At the foot of the Champs-Elysées, the Grand and Petit Palais face one another on Av. Winston Churchill. Built for the 1900 World’s fair, they were widely received as a dazzling combination of “banking and dreaming”, exemplifying the ornate art nouveau architecture. While the Petit Palais houses an eclectic mix of artwork, its big brother has been turned into a space for temporary exhibitions on architecture, painting, sculpture and French history. The Petit Palais has been the residence of the French Presidents since 1873.

Grand Palais

PALAIS DE LA DÉCOUVERTE:
The Grand Palais houses the Palais de la Découverte, a science museum/playground for children. Kids tear around the Palais’ interactive science exhibits, pressing buttons that start comets on celestial trajectories. Grown-up kids will have as much fun exploring colorful displays and exhibits of the museum, and will learn a surprising amount about the world. The Planetarium has shows 4 times per day. more

Anunnaki Ultimatum: End of Time.

The autobiography of Sinhar Ambar Anati (Victoria), by Maximillien de Lafayette and Ilil Arbel

A terrifying meeting on a dark, deserted Maine back road in 1965, starts a whirlwind of events that would take eighteen-years-old Victoria on a journey that will end thousands of years in the future. Her car is stopped by a space ship – from which an alien being, first horrific in his shape-shifted form, then turning into the most attractive man she has ever seen, steps into her life and changes it forever. The handsome and high-ranking Anunnaki, with whom Victoria falls in love at first sight, informs her that she has been selected to be the mother of a future senator who is meant to serve humanity and the kindly race of the Anunnaki in their fight against the Gray Aliens. Humanity has been created by the Anunnaki and was meant to be good just like them – but the Grays have been contaminating human DNA for eons. They succeeded to such an extent that humanity has developed viciousness, greed, and cruelty, and are on the verge of destroying the planet, thus affecting the whole solar system. The Anunnaki must step in – which they plan to do in 2022 – and annihilate human civilization as we know it before recreating the human race in a better form. Victoria accepts her mission, goes on the space ship with Sinhar Marduchk, and starts a life of high adventure. The reader follows her for forty years. She gives birth to her son and on her request, returns alone to earth, forgetting the whole even and allowing herself time to grow up. At age thirty, Sinhar Marduchk, who has chosen her as his life partner, comes back, returns her memory, and proposes marriage. She is more than happy to marry the love of her life, and goes with him to Nibiru, the Anunnaki home planet. There she learns all about the beauty of her new home, the physical and spiritual joy of the Anunnaki style of love making, meets her wonderful new family, and begins to acquire supernatural powers, including telepathy. But not all is joy. Victoria is shown the unthinkable horrors of the abductions that are daily performed by the Grays, the torture and murder that they commit with the total approval of earth governments. These governments give them permission for it in exchange for military and technological power which they use over other nations. She is also taken to hell-like dimensions where spirits wait for body parts in order to materialize as slaves to the Grays. During her delightful honeymoon in Paris, she is possessed by an evil ancient spirit that abducts her to an unknown dimension, and she has to witness his killing by Sinhar Marduck, who eliminates the evil thing and all his “doubles” in a hair raising chase across the stars.

Undaunted, Victoria takes on missions – first with the Hybrids, a product of the mating of humans and Grays, creatures without heart or soul who can only invoke pity and disgust, and some of which are adopted by high ranking military officials and invading human society. She becomes an important Anunnaki envoy to various earth governments, trying to persuade them to stop their relationship with the Grays and trust the Anunnaki. She has meetings with high ranking officials from the CIA, NSA, and the Pentagon, attempting to inform them that the Anunnaki will return in 2022. But in the end, Victoria must accept the end of civilization as we know it. In her final mission, she is betrayed by high ranking humans, both military and civilian, who try to kill her at their base. She retaliates by blowing a huge part of the place with an Anunnaki form of power, and becomes a target of a hunt by the CIA. At that time, Victoria is sixty years old, and she is ready to renounce her earthly existence  and return permanently to Nibiru and her family. There, she is promised a new and perfect body, a life that will last thousands of years, and eternity with her beloved husband, Sinhar Marduchk. But to achieve that, a great danger awaits her. Victoria must shed her earthly body – which, in human terms, mean to die – and return to Nibiru through a Star Gate, taking the great risk of being lost in the universe for eternity. Will she succeed?

The story reads like science fiction, but the amazing thing is, it is all true. The book is not fiction – it is based entirely on Victoria’s conversations with the authors, which she has chosen to write her story. She wanted her message heard with the hope that perhaps humanity will mend its ways and clean itself from its contamination before it is too late for all of us.

An Indonesian businessman has scattered 100 million Rupiah ($10,700) in banknotes from a plane to promote his new motivational book

Tung Desem Waringin said he would rather share money for a promotional campaign with people who needed it. His plane flew over a sports field in Serang city, 60km (40 miles) west of Jakarta, dropping four loads of bills of small denomination. Crowds had been gathering after rumours of the stunt spread on Saturday. Mr Tung, 42, admitted his scheme was a little "crazy", but said he wanted to create "a rain of money" over Jakarta. He had been refused permission to conduct the flight over the capital amid security concerns. Millions of Indonesians live below the poverty line and distributions of free food and aid regularly draw large crowds.

Actor Murray's wife seeks divorce

The wife of actor Bill Murray has filed for divorce after almost 11 years of marriage, alleging he abused her and is addicted to marijuana and alcohol. Jennifer Butler Murray's complaint also alleges frequent abandonment by the US film actor, best known for his roles in Lost in Translation and Ghostbusters. Murray's attorney said the 57-year-old was "deeply saddened by the break-up of his marriage". However, he refused to comment on Ms Murray's allegations. The complaint, filed on 12 May in Charleston County, South Carolina, alleges the actor would often leave home without telling his wife, travelling overseas to engage in "public and private altercations and sexual liaisons". It also alleges Murray physically abused his wife, citing one incident in November 1997 when he "hit her in the face". Ms Murray claims the actor's "violent, abusive and erratic behaviour... destroyed the marital relationship between the parties". The couple separated more than a year ago when Ms Murray moved with their four sons to Sullivan's Islands, South Carolina. Murray, who has been wed once before, married Butler, a costume designer and wardrobe supervisor, in 1997. The couple had worked together on the films Scrooged, Groundhog Day, What About Bob and Ghostbusters II. Murray's attorney said the pair had been "loving parents" and were "committed to the best interests of their children". The couple signed a prenuptial agreement before they married in which they waived their right to alimony or support in the event of divorce. However, Murray did agree to pay $7 million to his ex-wife within 60 days of a final divorce decree.

Dior drops Sharon Stone in China

Actress Sharon Stone has been dropped by cosmetics firm Christian Dior from its Chinese adverts following remarks she made about the recent earthquake.

The firm's Chinese office also issued a statement attributed to Stone, in which she apologised for saying the disaster could have been the result of "karma". In it, Stone said she was "deeply sorry" that her remarks, made in a TV interview last week, caused anguish. The quake struck south-west China on 12 May, and has claimed 68,000 lives. Stone, 50, models for Christian Dior, and the company's Shanghai office issued her apology. "Due to my inappropriate words and acts during the interview, I feel deeply sorry and sad about hurting Chinese people," the statement said. "I am willing to take part in the relief work of China's earthquake, and wholly devote myself to helping affected Chinese people." Dior's China branch also distanced itself from Stone's remarks. "We don't agree with her hasty, unreflecting remarks and we deeply regret them," it said in a Chinese-language statement. "We absolutely do not support any remark that hurts the Chinese people's feelings."

Stone made the controversial remarks at the Cannes Film Festival last week, leading to pledges by some Chinese cinemas not to show her films. "I'm not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans because I don't think anyone should be unkind to anyone else," Stone told a Hong Kong TV crew. "And then all this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and I thought, 'is that karma - when you're not nice that the bad things happen to you?'" Around 20,000 people are still missing following the earthquake, with five million left homeless.

Spears 'not fit enough for court'

Kevin Federline and Britney Spears were married in September 2004

Britney Spears is not yet well enough to appear in the case dealing with her father's control of her assets, her lawyer has told a Los Angeles court. Samuel Ingham said her condition was "fluid" because of treatment changes. Court commissioner Reva Goetz agreed it may be "harmful" for the singer to appear in her conservatorship case when it goes to court on 31 July. Jamie Spears was granted control of his daughter's assets in February after she was admitted to a psychiatric ward. A US court creates conservatorship when a person cannot care for themselves.

$100m estate

Mr Ingham and lawyers for Mr Spears met privately in Mr Goetz's chambers for 90 minutes to discuss the condition of Mr Spears. After their meeting, Mr Goetz told the court that, as the singer's diagnosis was incomplete, she was not yet ready to take part in the case, which is due to begin at the end of July. Mr Spears' temporary authority, which puts him in control of her assets and estate, was extended in March until the scheduled start of proceedings. The singer's estate is thought to be worth $100m.Ms Spears has led a troubled existence since splitting from her husband, Kevin Federline, in 2006. Her increasingly eccentric behaviour - which included shaving off her hair in full view of the paparazzi and a shambolic performance at the MTV awards - ended with a spell in a psychiatric ward at the beginning of February. She lost custody of two-and-a-half-year-old Sean Preston and Jayden James, 20 months, in October, and lost visiting rights in January when Mr Federline was given full custody. Earlier this month, a lawyer for Mr Federline said a judge had granted Ms Spears greater access to her sons. The lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said Ms Spears had made progress in getting her personal life back together.
